WANTED! Irish m.c.'s to spit verses for U.S. radio
August 06, 2012 06:52PM

WFMU radio out of New Jersey travels to Dublin to record freestyle session in St. Stephen's Green this Saturday afternoon August 11th noon to 2pm. Irish born, hip-hop historian and broadcaster Billy Jam, who has done a series of radio broadcasts from Ireland for WFMU radio over the past several years (including a few out of All City), returns again to his homeland to record Irish hip-hop MCs spitting freestyles and/or written raps. The informal recording session will take place at the band shell in Saint Stephen's Green this Saturday afternoon from noon to 2pm. It will be edited down to broadcast back on the US radio station the following Friday, August 17th on Jam's "Put The Needle On The Record" program. If it rains there will be shelter in the bandshell. But if we get moved by the park security or gardai then we will take recording session across outside the park to under the awning outside the ESB office building on St. Stephens Green. On the day if, by chance you cannot find us, phone 086-268-4829
For more information, you can catch Billy on this Friday's Plastic Attack (radio show) on RTE 2XM.
