Its gonna be a savage weekend!

We've got hiphop gigs going from Friday night on so if you can, make a weekend of it, would be class to have all sides of the HipHop spectrum represented at the events. If we can get big crowds at everything its just gonna mean bigger and better events down the line!

If your looking for accommodation during the weekend be sure to check out our Accommodation Page.

For anyone that hasn't been to our Website yet or doesnt know more about the weekend, we've got loads of gigs and shows including, Loungin' with Longy, Harvey, Jimmy & Justin, Sick Steps International BBoy Battle, Ghostpoet, DJ Mek, Graffiti Jam, DFI (obviously), Fokai BBQ & LiveStyles Party going on over the course of the weekend.

Gonna be running workshops in all the elements of hiphop also, ranging from master classes to beginners so if you've got an interest in other stuff be sure to check them out

(shameless promotion over!)

Peace!

A friend of mine who knows someone involved in Livestylefest said that you have to buy tickets in advance cos there is so many going. Is that true or can you just pay at the door?

When the Rakim gig wasn't sold out that would seem somewhat unlikely.

Rakim gig wasnt all ages and there is a massive buzz around the youth crowd about the gigs coming up. Only event you can actually buy tickets in advance for is the bboy battle and those tickets are selling pretty fast. Don't underestimate the power of the youth crowd, they never get to see stuff in Cork so they are excited about every gig they can get to

Yeah I was at the Rakim gig and we were by far the youngest there, but the difference is with that gig and DFI is that Dublin people could have seen him in Dublin the night after or before so they wouldn't have came down to Cork. Since DFI is all ages and there's a big crowd coming from Dublin I'd say I'll just have to head in early and make sure I get in.

Hopefully it won't be noisy to the point that the bars in your battle v Gwame won't be heard. People won't be coming all the way from Dublin so they can act the langer during a battle, but no offence, your battle isn't the biggest of the lot so maybe some people mightn't pay full attention.

Just saying when there's 300+ ppl you need mics. Last event was good on camera but shit live cos nobody could hear past halfway back. The crowd were very well behaved it was just the capacity was higher. Accoustics are better in the pav so it'll probably be fine but it'd be nice to have hung mic just in case. I know they were planned for the last one anyway so it's all gravy

It was the layout of the last venue more so than the amount of people there that was the problem shapey.
