The Abstract or avant garde, or progressive hip hop thread...

Using those terms losely and hopefully not in a poserish way. And there's defo varying levels of abstraction in each of these. Im mad for anything with a hint of weird when it comes to hip hop.

Current mood:
At the moment I'm kind of into anything with weird flows and delivery than the beats even if the basis of it is trap rap shit that isn't maybe considered experimental in the traditional sense. Future is doing some interesting stuff. All the sing song rapping stuff in general is interesting to me.

Young Thug is pretty bizarre as well. Bit hit and miss.. and his singing voice is perhaps a bit of an acquired taste but I like it.

Kevin Gates doing loads of weird stuff on his new one. He does a tune in 3 different redneck accents.

Irish music wise I like Flying Buttresses. Deviants doesn't really do traditional 16 bars and a hook beats and Sebi has one of the most unusual flows going. Doing a bit of singing on the new tunes as well the EP should be interesting.
