# not forgetting Melting Pot (Eamonn Dorans, Mondays), where two weeks
ago seen a return to the mic by Ri-Ra of ScaryEire (backed up on decks
by Mek and Splyce, and introduced by a header from 'Third Eye Surfers'),
letting rip with a selction of hardcore new material (most probably from
the new Mek joint) - included in the set was a track called 'Fourty Shades
of Green' and an unrelenting antidote for the irish music scenes association
with manufactured Cat-Stevens-plundering face-bands, kind of on a Dr.Dooom
tip but laced with the unduplicatable vocal style...

The band are called Sonic Sum. The guy in the top left picture is called
Eric MO. Eric is from Clondalkin and left Dublin about 3.5 years ago,
eventually hooking up with Fred Ones who was producing for a lot of people.
They formed Sonic sum with 2 friends. Their forthcoming
album was given 4 out of 5 by XXL. Eric played in a few bands back before
he emigrated, Mafakin Parade, the Jackmans & Loose Booty to name a few
but he says Sonic Sum is definitely where he is happiest.
